The Evil Commenting Machine

On a daily basis, my feed on Facebook is inundated with links to blogs. Gossip blogs, news blogs, fashion blogs, etc. Some of my favorites are Necole Bitchie, Madame Noire, Hello, Beautiful!, and Clutch.

Yet, I sometimes feel reluctant to even place a comment on the page. So many people seem to make negative commenting and rabble-rousing a damn full-time job. It’s unbelievable the time people put into debunking celebrities lives, refuting others’ opinions and making an otherwise positive post a hot spot for hate and bitterness.

I can imagine folks posting up on blogs…hitting refresh WAITING with excited pleasure to see if someone has replied to their fuckery.

There’s something seriously wrong with a person/people, when they can’t have a positive discussion EVER and…AND…STAY ON TOPIC!

For instance, If there’s a post about single mothers who work…it’ll turn into an argument about hating men because they leave them single. Well, it may be relevant on a whole, but that doesn’t have anything to do with discussing single moms, their jobs and how they manage.

Another instance…Solange releases a new video. Here comes the folks saying how she’s better than Beyonce, which leads to how Beyonce has purposely tried to keep Solange down…to how Beyonce’s baby is Solange’s and finally…Blue Ivy is a doll. O_O

Chile…What’s WRONG with folks?

I just saw a post on Clutch, about the rate of young Black men graduating from college and some chick turned it into how women need to focus on themselves and forget about men because they don’t care about US. How we show concern for men on a women’s blog. The fact that the post was geared toward Black TEENS who are still being cared for by parents…NAMELY, WOMEN…mattered not. She continued to spew her ridiculous ideology until the comments were closed on that post.

It’s not that I don’t think people should voice their opinions. I just wish more of us did it with tact, respect and learned how to stop speaking when it’s no longer effective or respected. To continue on and on in an attempt to convince someone your opinion is fact, looks like the sign of a psycho. That’s not too far-fetched either, since the Internet is a hotbed for undercover unbalanced folk.

For the love of all that’s digital…please know when to log off. Everything thought doesn’t need articulating.

My Cup is 1/2 Full…Please Don’t Knock Mine Over!

Why fo’ can’t I sit here and sip out MY damn cup…without suckas tryna knock it out my hand?

Okay, I will NOT go into the specifics (tired of talking on THAT subject)…all I’m going to say is that negativity spreads like wild fires…setting aflame everything in it’s path. Even the beautiful things that just so happen to be in it’s way. Sometimes people don’t THINK they’re being negative…but, here’s a few tips to search your soul for that answer:

~Is what I have to say helping?
~Did anyone ask my opinion? (this should be #1)
~If I don’t say anything is it going to kill me?

Every thought doesn’t have to be articulated. I say this 1,000 times a day. We all fall victim frequently to the Internet’s lure of instant gratification…think it now…say it NOW!  Yet, there is something that sits between thought and action. It’s called the BACKSPACE button. JUST when you start tip-tapping on those keys and your words spill out through your fingertips…take ONE second and ask yourself how necessary it is. If you still feel the need to press forward…so be it. (At this point, certain things said in MY opinion are now tools for attention to either get an “Amen Corna” or to stand out).  After this…whatever.

I don’t get in the way of people’s individual expression. I see shit every day that makes me want to figure out a way to petition companies to check for Chimp genes before letting folks buy a computer. Yea, I said it…I’m convinced that some of these “personalities” are REALLY named Bo-Bo, Cocoa da Chimp, Bubblez’ cousin Sudzie…and that they wear overalls and bow ties every day. *want a banana?* LOL.  Seriously, I mostly sip from this cup o’mine and savor the flavor of patience, understanding, compassion and freedom…mine and other’s. I just don’t care what you’re sipping on. If I love you…I’ll offer you some of what I’m drinking. If you say, “no thank you”…I’ll continue to sip and consider saving you some just in case you change your mind.

I also have a gripe with the snooty, haughty, snobbish folks coming in with their “I’m too good for this”. LAWD, it’s enough to make me lose my religion (wait, Iowneeben go to church) …well, make me wanna cuss. The quickest way for ME to snub YOU is for YOU to snub everything. My ex used to hate on my love of FB games. “Why do you play that stuff? Shouldn’t you be reading a paper?” MAN…if you don’t….MAN…don’t make me pop you!!!

I’ve HAD it. I walk lightly through life mostly. Yea, I have my moments when life kicks my ass and I kick it right back. It pulls my hair…I kick it’s shins. “WHAT, Life…DO somefin, FOO!” LOL…but, for the most part…I’m chill. I’m in my own groove, kicked back, chilling off the vibes that flow from friends, fam, and mostly GOD. If I’m some place that is too this or that for me…I find another place to be.  Isn’t it just that simple? WHY must folks dampen others’ spirits for things. Why does other people’s unhappiness, insecurities, big-headed egos, etc. have to step on other people’s pinky toes? SOME times…just UNPLUG! ::GASP::  *oh, no she didn’t say dat* YES DAMN YOU…UNPLUG!! Instead of spitting on someone else’s fire with your lofty attitude and basement bullshit…log off. Take a breath. Go meditate. Read the Dictionary. Go watch a movie. Research your name. Play with your/someone’s kid. Call up an elder in your family and say hi. Draw something by hand. Go take a walk and take pics (my fave). Either way…learn to STFU. I sweeear, I still got coupons for that. Giving them out by request. Some…well, you just might win one in the Kween’s lotto. O_O

Call the ambulance, come and pick up your people / Put they body on the stretcher, carry they ass out ” ~ Busta Rhymes

STFU!!! (a lil rant)

I’m gonna piggyback on a blog my girl [fungke] [blak] [chik] wrote, called “If You Can’t Take An Opinon, Stop Reading My Blog“. In it, she stated how often people say, “you’re hating” when it’s really an opinion. It’s ok you, know..NOT to like something or someone. We all have a right, so to speak…to our own opinions. I mean, I learned in elementary school the difference between fact and opinion. Need a recap? Fact is real, proven and indisputable. Opinion is a guess, a perceptive statement and easily refuted. I see it every day…people get riled up with opinion. It’s one of the reason why in spite of being somewhat of an “intellect” *gagging* I tend to work HARD of late…to keep my opinions to myself. I can remember when I used to debate a thing to death…but I so hate arguing nowadays. I’d be trying so hard…not to get them to agree…but to be open to why I’d think differently. You know how you say, “let’s agree to disagree”? That rarely happens. Most people walk away thinking either, “She’s a know-it-all” or “She’s an asshole”…and either way…the point you were trying to make falls away to stubborn opinion.

O-pin-ion..take the p and i out (your personal interest) and you have the word onion. LOL Yep…layers of shit that just brings tears…or just stinks. So, indeed…I know we have them and am used to people dispensing theirs like penny candy.

BUT…the hating? Well that is different. Hating to ME (my asshole) is when it’s not just an opinion…which usually stems from preference. It’s when it stems from an envy or jealousy. OR when it comes from self-hate and being unfulfilled personally. YES, people look at others who are doing them (without knowledge of their existence) and have “opinions” about everything. That person’s life, choices, achievements or lack of. I personally, don’t care what the hell someone else is doing with their lives. As long as they’re not hurting me or anyone I care about…why should I? Especially, if I don’t know them. I do look at people like politicians, religious heads and people in the position of fundamental responsibility, like teachers, doctors, etc…and care what influence THEY have on the world. They are a big part of what can go right and wrong with an average life. Yet still, I cannot judge, because in order to know you must go through it…in THEIR skin. Your shit…ain’t my shit…ain’t the next person’s shit. Two teen moms don’t necessarily share the same issues because of what THEIR own environment was like. One could’ve been supported by their family…the other not. SO…I keep my mouth shut unless it is something that is atrociously out of order for the sake of what is right.

Hating on people’s careers…choices…relationships…mistakes…etc…is a bit much to me. Everyone’s mouth is moving 24/7 about something that isn’t their shit to understand. STFU!!! Nit picking away every little thing…when your shit is CRACKED and on the ground, bitch.boo.bye! My girl Celeste said to me, “Hurt people, hurt people” and she was right. Broken, fractured, fragile people, sitting back hating…yes HATING on the success of others. If someone is out there, grinding it out…bless em. If someone is struggling against demons…bless em. If someone is trying to do something positive…bless em. Why is it so hard to just be happy for someone out there LIVING and not just BEING? Oh, and for the record…no one can remain at the top forever. We all have and will fall short. We all mess up and live to regret it…such is life…but, sitting back in judgment and disdain for others…especially folk who will never hear nor care about your little “opinion” is over the top, straight HATING!

This came from watching a SLEW of bullshit, hating-ass comments on Twitter. I’m so glad half of em were retweets…that way, I can be proud to not have been following some of these hateful individuals…PLEASE don’t make me break out that video!!! lmaoo

Assholes and Opinions

LAWD, I’ve been DYING to use this picture. Chap found it for me and I just wasn’t ready to dig into this topic.

My sista Dionne loves to say that…”Assholes are like opinions, everybody has one…so give me your asshole.” lol  It’s true though. People tend to really dole those out freely and willy nilly, like they’re being paid to pontificate. Just because you state a thing, doesn’t mean you need counter points. Sometimes, it’s as simple as getting something off your chest and relieving some inner tension. Yea, yea, yea..I know. With freedom of speech, comes a hidden price. There are indeed repercussions for everything…even those things that are done with the best of intentions. Having said that…onto the slinging of assholes.

You ever meet or talk to someone who has ALL the “right” information? Everything they say is by the book, from a book…or quoted by someone who saw the shit on a book…a long time ago? GEEEZ…you do NOT have to know everything. It is perfectly okay to say “I don’t know”. It’s okay to say…” to each his own”. YES…to EACH his OWN! That means (for the slow babies sitting Indian-style on the floor) that each person has a right to see things how they see them. DEAL how they want to deal…or just be who they want. You can drop a seed and water it…but you can’t shine the light JUST right. It’s not in your control. So, when a person has all of these things that are supposed to go a certain way based on some knowledge learned and their own personal beliefs. Go HEAD with that!

How about the person that said something was one way and when proven to be wrong says, “Oh that’s what I said/meant…” NO you didn’t! Just admit that you were wrong and knew NOTHING…but you didn’t want to look stupid, so you stuck to your guns on something unproven and unresearched, because you’d rather save face. DAMN. It’s OKAY. No one knows it ALL. We’re all students to this universal university. Sitting in tutelage by someone smarter and wiser. Feeling our way through the dark, turning lights on along the way. We all have frailities. There are things about us all that make us the perfectly imperfect creations we are. It’s those weaknesses that put a stamp on our personalities and round us out as individuals. If you know something…fine, pass it on. Righteousness is a virtue of generous nature. You must pass it on to help someone else rise above ignorance, but please don’t make the mistake of of believing you behold the answer to it all.

Maybe you need to see this video I love by a Youtuber who tells it straight no chaser!
